Commercial, Public Access ...

Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL)

The Vertical Platform Lift (VPL) comes in three basic configurations: enclosed (EN), shaft way (SW) and unenclosed (UN). Each can be customized if necessary to meet your specific needs and blend into your decor. These can be installed indoors or outdoors.

Before we offer a solution, we like to visit your building and review the floor plan to identify any code clearance issue and develop alternatives. We also consider the decor and finishes in the surrounding space. By looking at the complete space, we can provide a total solution that will work with your space, not against it.

Enclosure (VPL-EN) Complete unit can be installed with little construction provided clearances are provided. Can be installed indoor or outdoor with an optional Plexiglas dome and ventilation fan.

Shaft Way (VPL-SW) Utilizing a shaft way built by a contractor, the shaft way model almost disappears into the decor.

Un-Enclosed (VPL-UN) These lifts offer a versatile solution for spaces where a shaft way is not possible and the full enclosure is not desired. Can be installed indoor or outdoor.

Custom Vertical Platform Lift These lifts offer a versatile solution for spaces where a shaft way is not possible and the full enclosure is not desired.

Inclined Platform Lifts (IPL)

The Inclined Platform Lift (IPL) can be installed on most commercial staircases. The IPL can be called from any landing it services. It has safety arms, under platform sensors and easy-to-use directional buttons. The Xpress II travels up a straight flight of stairs, folds up when not in use and can easily be installed in outdoor situations. The drive motor is enclosed on the platform which reduces the amount of space required to install the complete unit.

The GSL-Artira travels up curved stairways, turns corners, can traverse multiple landings, and folds-up when not in use. The drive motor is continued in a cabinet at the typically at the top of the stairs, but can be installed remotely when space is an issue.

LU/LA (Limited Use/ Limited Access)

When a full-commercial elevator and lift are not options, a Limited Use/Limited Access Elevator may be the solution. It is the perfect solution for shaft ways where a full cab is required. The center and right photos below are of the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan.

Vertical Reciprocating Conveyers (VRC)

The Vertical Reciprocating Conveyer (VRC) is often referred to as a "material lift". These lifts are specifically "No Rider" lifts - they do not meet ADA requirements that allow passengers - and allow you to move materials from floor to floor as needed. There are many uses for this type of lift and it can be installed in a number of locations. Some common uses are as sidewalk lifts, casket lifts, vehicle lifts, trash lifts, and other no-rider applications.
