Do not seek so
much to find the answer as much as to understand the question better
|
|
| How
long have you been in business? |
Since 1975, that's almost 35 years!
We started in the garage of the founder, Donald Boydston, installing stair
way chair lifts, over the years we added products to our portfolio and
became and stayed active in Code development and product improvements with
the manufacturers. [top

|
| Where do you sell & service lifts? |
Our sales ad service territory includes Northern and Central New Jersey, All of New York
City, all of Long Island, upstate counties about 75 miles out of NYC, and
all of Connecticut. IF you are outside this area and need to find an
installer or service company, give us a call, we have good relationships
with dealers in areas throughout the country. [top

|
| Do you sell lifts for trucks/vans or motorcycle lifts? | No, we sell platform lifts that are installed in buildings and home
elevators for private homes. Unfortunately we cannot really advise you on
a dealer since this is out of our industry, rather we would direct you to
the wonderful tool of the Internet, and the good-old Chamber of Commerce.
Don't forget to check the Better Business Bureau as well. [top

|
| Do I have to pay anything to get you to look at my home or building to tell me if I can put a lift in? |
No, our main goal is to make sure we sell you the right product for
your particular application - if a lift won't work we won't sell it! So,
what if the building is under construction? That's when we'd speak with
the Architect and general Contractor to communicate the necessary site
preparation for the type of lift specified. We may even suggest
alternatives that could reduce budget, accelerate installation time or
provide alternative features for the end-user. [top

|
| I have a lift already and it isn't working (or makes a funny noise) - can you fix it? | We would be happy to come out
and look at your lift. We'll do a complete diagnosis of the lift looking
at its age, wear-and-tear and features. We'll ask you about the lift and
either repair/replace what is broken or worn, or we may suggest an upgrade
or complete reinstallation (depending on your budget and the overall
status of the lift) [top

|
| I have a curved staircase in my house, can a stair chair be installed? | In most cases, yes! We'd send a
sales technician out to your home to assess the staircase, measure it ad
then provide you with a quote on what it would cost to install it. [top
of page]
|
| I just bought a house with a home elevator - there are no user manuals and I don't know if it even works - help! | First, if you have no documentation
or history on ANY lift, do not use it! We'll come take a look at it and
run through a diagnostic test, checking the safeties and features. If any
preventative maintenance needs ot be done, we'll take care of it and
provide you with a clear quote on what it will cost BEFORE we do any work. [top

|
| My
spouse just passed away and I need to remove the lift, since it will not
be needed anymore. Do you buy-back the lifts?
|
We do not buy-back lifts. We would first suggest you consider keeping it in case someone else may need it in the future, but if you'd like it gone, we will remove it, in most cases, at no charge. [top of page] |
| Nice FAQ's page, but my question is not answered here... | No worries! Contact us and we
will be happy to answer any question you have about lifts, our company, maintenance,
etc. Plus we will update this page with more FAQ's as they come in. Thank
You! [top
