Handi-Lift Offers AIA Lunch and Learns

All of our sales engineers are trained to present an AIA Lunch and Learn program. We provide the lunch and the learning material and architects who attend this presentation can receive 1 AIA/CES Learning Unit. This course is eligible for HSW.

The program is Accessibility, Safety and Platform Lifts & Elevators, v. 2. Here is a synopsis of the presentation:

We recognize the importance of elevators and lifts in today’s design industry. Lifts and elevators can be an extraordinary feature added to a home or building that will enhance the life quality and safety of the end user. In this program the learner will learn about the requirements for platform lifts, the different types of lifts, and basic product design. Will also gain an understanding of code compliance issues, and how to solve accessibility problems, and solutions for evacuation for persons with disabilities.

At the end of this program, participants will gain a basic understanding of:

- ADA regulations for lifts and elevators.

- Basic product design and the different types.

- Code compliance issues.

- The application of lifts and elevators to solve accessibility problems.

- The challenges and solutions for evacuation of persons with disabilities.

If you would like to host a lunch and learn at your architecture firm or AIA chapter, please email us at [email protected] to schedule today.
