Recent Project: 307 – 309 Van Brunt Street

Here is a recently completed project at residential building in Brooklyn. Handi-Lift advised the developer on the design and installed two shaftway model vertical platform lifts, one in each building, to provide accessibility to the first-floor apartments. The developer, ILE Construction Group, contacted Handi-Lift for this project to meet the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to provide accessibility to a percentage of newly constructed apartments. Pictured here is the upper landing, with the 48 inch wide wooden door that opens to the interior of the apartment building.
