In 2018, Handi-Lift worked with Nycan Builders and the Howard Hughes Corporation to install an enclosed vertical platform lift in the historic South Street Seaport District of Manhattan. A three-stop Garaventa Genesis Enclosure was utilized to give retail customers and employees access to two adjacent storefronts. This design included the challenge of providing access to two storefronts at two different heights with a single lift. Because of the historical significance of this landmark, great care had to be taken not to disturb the surrounding property. Finally, Handi-Lift had to complete the mast attachment ourselves.
