Here is another New York City residential building complying with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The building owner contacted Handi-Lift to install a lift to provide accessibility to the first floor apartment. Handi-Lift worked closely with the architect, George Georgopoulos, on the design of the project. Rather than install a LU/LA elevator here, our sales engineer recommended an enclosure style vertical platform lift by Garaventa. Vertical platform lifts save space and are more economical than elevators for this type of application.
